My journey was steeped in the rhythms of church life. From an early age, I found purpose within its walls, leading Sunday School sessions, guiding praise and worship, and delivering soul-stirring devotions. 35 years later I am still a devout and active Christian who has witnessed many miracles of God.
LIVING GOD’S PURPOSE
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
As a child, my path took an unexpected turn with the discovery of a congenital heart defect, rheumatic fever, which threatened to end my life before it had truly begun. Yet, despite medical professionals claiming I would not live beyond the age of 12, I not only survived but thrived, buoyed by an unwavering faith in the divine. This miraculous journey instilled a profound belief in the power of faith and resilience.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

In 1995, I went to the United States for my first open-heart surgery, followed by a second open-heart procedure in 2012. My resolve remained unyielding, fortified by a deep sense of purpose and a belief that I could beat it.
I have been a seasoned Registered Nurse since 2004. My professional journey has traversed the corridors of hospitals, the intimate spaces of home health agencies, and the entrepreneurial landscape of owning and operating my home health agency and career institute. Today, as the proprietor of Lakes Active Senior Living, an assisted living facility, I extend compassionate care to seniors grappling with dementia and chronic illnesses, embodying the ethos of empathy and service.
